OpenWorld – an innovative navigation system in the city's infrastructure for visually impaired people.
OpenWorld is a social project to help visually impaired people by optimizing and improving the city where they live.
We are developing special Bluetooth-Low-Energy beacons that can be installed in urban transport, traffic lights and other important places. Every person can install such a beacon on the doors of his/her own house, at a cafe and any place where it may be useful.
A visually impaired person can get a list of beacons around his/her location using a special mobile application, get more information, get directions and find out the exact position of an object in space (through an audio message from the beacon).
